This tour is a great opportunity for a close-up view of one of the most recognizable landmarks of Japan—Mt Fuji—viewed from Hakone National Park. You will also visit the popular resort town of Hakone. Drive to Hakone for a lovely view of Mt Fuji from one of the boats that ply the waters of Lake Ashi, located at the foot of the mountain. After lunch at a local restaurant, you will transfer to the Mt Komagatake Aerial Cableway, where your guide will lead you up a stairway to an observation platform providing a panoramic view of Mt Fuji, weather permitting. You will also visit the Hakone Open-Air Museum, which contains numerous sculptures by artists from all over the world. The museum is especially known for its collection of 26 pieces by Henry Moore, including one that is more than 13 feet tall. The sculpted beauty of the art creates a stark contrast with the natural surroundings.Notes:Although this excursion takes you to one of the best locations for viewing Mt Fuji, the mountain is often shrouded in clouds and views cannot be guaranteed.

Customer Reviews for Hakone National Park & Mt Fuji Views
We knew when we booked this tour that there was a good chance that we might not see Mt. Fuji; however, the day was miserable. Torrential rain led to the cancellation of everything but the lunch and the Open Air Museum. Even though we were soaking wet we enjoyed some of the museum. The rest of the day was worse than bad. At lunch we were eventually informed that all the scheduled events were cancelled and to waste time they made us go to an aquarium. People on our bus requested to return to the ship but the answer was no. When we got back to Yokohama it was sunny and bright. We could have spent the time better there.
