Yes, the youngest son of Queen Elizabeth was in the Kings Park.
Fremantle lies at the mouth of the Swan River which stretches northeast past the City of Perth and into the Swan Valley. Our tour began with an hour and a half boat ride from Fremantle up river to Perth. The Swan River was named after the black swans which inhabit the area – we didn’t see any swans. We toured the outskirts of Perth and stopped at Kings Park and Botanic Garden for more photos. We spied a ceremony honoring WWI and WW2 veterans with guys who looked like Secret Service hanging around. That;s where we spotted the Prince Edward.
We did the river cruise first and bus back to the ship. The river is very diverse with millionare homes and many boats. One of the highlights of the day was the view from King's park. Don't miss this park even if it is another shore excursion. Many of the Holland excursions went there.
