Your adventure begins with a pick up at the Alyeska Resort. Then, hop aboard a high-speed catamaran and travel 140 miles into Prince William Sound to see 26 ‘’named’’ glaciers, as well as an abundance of wildlife—both on shore and through the narrow fjords on this 5-hour cruise. Come face-to-face with several types of glaciers, including the Alpine (hanging), Piedmont and Tidewater. It’s not uncommon to see glacier calving (pieces of ice that break off into the water) during the cruise. You will witness massive movement of ice and hear its thunderous roar that is truly an unforgettable experience. Enjoy sightings of sea otters, seals, porpoises, sea lions and whales—both humpback and orca—during the cruise. You may also spot bears, mountain goats and bald eagles. At the end of the trip we’ll visit a bird rookery—home to thousands of kittiwakes.

A MUST excursion. If you only do one, this is the one .
The write up states our first stop is at the Wally Norerenburg Salmon Hatchery. We did not stop. We just cruised by! We assumed from the write up that we would stop, get off the boat, look around the hatchery and get back on the boat and continue the tour. The remaining parts of the tour were good.
