This is a lovely tour through the lush Danish countryside. It follows the coastal road, known as the Danish Riviera and offers a beautiful view of the sea on one side and very impressive manor houses on the other. Your first stop will be at Frederiksborg Castle in Hilleroed. Step inside to see this magnificent Renaissance castle, which now serves as the National Museum of History, and peek into the small chapel where the oldest organ in the world is still in use. At the charming village of Fredensborg, takes photos at the summer residence of the Royal Family—Fredensborg Palace. Head even further north to the town of Elsinore to visit Kronborg Castle, perhaps better known as Hamlet’s Castle as it was chosen by William Shakespeare as the setting for his play. This castle houses the largest banquet hall in northern Europe. Notes:Participants must be able to negotiate uneven surfaces, cobblestone courtyards and multiple flights of stairs inside the castles. Filming is not allowed at Kronborg Castle. Wear comfortable shoes. Please be advised that no food is included in this tour; eat a hearty meal prior to departure and bring a snack if you wish.

A nice day. Remember these are castles, not palaces, so they are not as spectacular. Having said that it was fun to drive into the seaside areas of Denmark and the castles were interesting. We enjoyed it. And they still made sure we saw The Little Mermaid on the way out of town :) and a brief driving tour of Copenhagen.
