The botanical garden part of this tour is just the plantation owner's personal area, although there is a good variety of plants to view. This was the wrong time of the year to see the processing plant in full operation. Coffee plants are mainly scattered throughout the undergrowth. The bad part of this excursion is the long, bumpy trip there and back. These Mexican roads are in awful shape. However, if you'd like to see the "real" Mexico away from the tourist areas, this is an eye-opener. The vehicle was air-conditioned and as comfortable as could be expected considering the roads.
