Kayaking is a very popular way to experience the nature, scenery and the tranquility of Aurlandsfjord and Flåm. As you paddle along the fjord, you will see mountain farms that cling to the hillside and farm animals, such as goats and sheep, that graze alarmingly close to steep drop-offs at the edge of the fjord. This is the perfect excursion for experienced and first-time kayakers, as it features beautiful scenery. Notes:Tour operates rain or shine, but may be cancelled by the operator in the event of extremely bad weather or unsuitable conditions. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing, and low-heeled shoes with non-skid soles. Although this tour does not require previous kayaking experience, all participants must be competent swimmers and in good physical condition. Guests with back or neck injuries and those who are pregnant or have epilepsy or another medical condition that is triggered by the cold should not participate in this tour. Dress warmly in layers; the temperature on the fjord rarely exceeds 64 degrees F. You will be kayaking on the fjord for approximately 1½ hours. Minimum age is 7 years. Maximum weight is 265 lbs.

Kayaking in the fjord was beautiful and being on the water was a great way to experience Flam. The Njord kayaking team are very skilled and made sure everyone in our group of 20 were comfortable and fully prepared to make the most our of our excursion. We were fortunate to have a very warm, sunny day and the water was like glass. The guides had great stories to tell of the region and about life in Flam. I recommend this excursion.
We had wonderful weather, so the kayaking was fabulous. It is a great way to see the fjord, and we were even greeted by 4 mountain goats. The guides were knowledgeable and considerate of different physical abilities. Our group of 12 consisted of 12 year olds to 60 plus, with people with lots of experience kayaking to no experience kayaking.
