Take a look behind the scenes at spanish country life. your motor coach will drive directly to the picturesque village of mijas, also known as the "white town." mijas is a typical spanish village with a strong andalusian flavor and offers incredible views over the coastline. all the houses in mijas are painted white, in the classic tradition of southern spain. the layout of the streets was planned hundreds of years ago to protect the houses and their inhabitants from the strong winds of the area. donkey taxis will catch your attention and offer a chance to experience a pleasant, if somewhat unusual, sightseeing ride (at your own expense). take some time to browse in the local stores and shop for ceramics, handmade wood items or any of the other beautiful, locally handmade crafts and souvenirs. back on the bus, you will return to málaga and, time permitting, you will take a short panoramic drive around the highlights of this intriguing city. your guide will point out all the important landmarks and introduce you to charming Malaga.

Beautiful village and lovely drive. What would make this excursion even better is a choice between two versions...a shorter excursion just like what they offer now, and a second version that is at least an hour longer allowing time to shop more or eat a lunch. This was a shoppers paradise and there were many places to eat. Like so many excursions they rush back to the ship too soon.
We really enjoyed this tour apart from the fact our guide was rather obnoxious. Once at Mijas we did our own thing and had a great time. It is a beautiful place and we enjoyed all of our time there. Recommended indeed!
A nice stroll through a lovely city. Lots of shops. Stopped at a small café for hot chocolate and churros. What a treat. Not the thin watery American style chocolate. Thick and rich. Great for dipping the churros.
Wonderful drive. Mijas was charming. If you want to shop, relax, eat, or just stroll around at your own speed and feel like your in a small Spanish town this is it. A bit Touristy of course but still fun. Great prices on quality leather, will barter. Got a belt, beautiful purse, some interesting tiles. Many interesting shops. Lots of outdoor cafe's and restaurants. We had a beer and seafood which was very good. Fun for kids if they want a donkey ride, horse drawn carriages. Great views.
